Summer Reading

The Corry Public Library has three Summer Reading Programs! Something fun for every age: Children, Teen/Young Adults, & Adults 18 & up.

CHILDREN
Many children lose ground in reading over the summer, and begin the school year at a lower level than what they achieved the previous year. Children who participate in the Corry Public Library’s summer programs make substantial gains in reading skills and return to school with increased confidence and excitement about reading. The Summer Reading Children’s Challenge awards prizes for time spent reading and visits to the library.

TEEN/YOUNG ADULTS
The Teen Summer Reading Program works like the Children’s Program and awards prizes for time spent reading and raffles for checking out materials at the library. Once youth reach Middle and High School age it can be hard to find time for leisure reading. Our Teen Summer Reading Program encourages the area young adults to discover the joys of reading, and earn cool prizes at the same time.

ADULTS
Who says Prizes for reading are only for kids? The Adult Summer Reading Challenge is the newest Summer Reading Program at the Corry Library offering prizes and raffles for the adults to participate in too!
