The Corry Public Library remains open. The announcement for the Erie County Library does not pertain to the Corry Public Library. Erie County libraries that are going curbside are Blasco and their 5 branches. Other Public Independent Libraries in the Erie County may also be going curbside so please check with you local library for an update.
Corry Public Library remains open. COVID-19 Safety precautions are firmly in place. We are currently operating with out doors open to the public with services available under social distance, sanitary, and mask guidelines.
The Corry Public Library is ensuring that COVID-19 safety protocols are being followed as we are open for services.We have hygienic standards during library operations. The books upon return are placed in quarantine for 5 days.They are than checked in and back dated to return date. Material that is being sent from libraries in Erie County are following the same procedures.
The quarentine time is based on the REALM Project conducted by the Institue of Musuem and Library Services that provides scientific information about how materials can be handled in libraries, museums, and archives to best mitigate the spread of COVID-19. In addition we have increased our cleaning hours. Face coverings are required at all times.
Our material is available for browsing and check out and we are continuing programming through virtual programs and take home kits. We can also as requested provide curbside service. We aim to serve the community and provide resources and materials with every precaution to ensure safety and sanitation.
Masks are to be worn in the building. If you are not able to wear a mask due to medical reasons we can provide the same services curbside. Please call the library for curbside pick up.
